里克‧杰寇斯基　　　出生于美国，后前往英国牛津大学读书，博士毕业后在大学教授文学。二十多岁时，因为一套《查尔斯‧狄更斯作品全集》，使他一头栽入了珍本收藏、买卖的世界，后来更索性辞去大学教职，全心投入珍本书市，专门收售二十世纪重要著作的首版及手稿。　　他在英国BBC广播电台的节目《珍本书，奇怪人》中述说自己在这一行所遇到的奇人轶事，深受听众喜爱，也促成了《托尔金的袍子》一书的出版。杰寇斯基著有多部传记，2005年更曾担任布克奖评审。

戴维•E.凯卫格，班克罗夫特奖获得者、历史学家，北伊利诺伊大学历史系知名教授，出版及编辑了十本著作，其中包括《明确真实的行为：修订美国宪法(1776-1995)》（Explicit and Authentic Acts: Amending the U.S. Constitution, 1776-1995），该书荣获1997年度班克罗夫特奖。
